The Glenview 29 Trial continued today 16 November 2012 at the High Court with the remaining 26 accused, being denied bail.
So far three out of the 29 accused have been released on bail. The three include Solomon Madzore, Lovemore 'Magaya' Taruvinga and Cynthia Manjoro.
After having requested the court to give him ample time to consider the number of the accused fit for granting bail on Tuesday 13 November, State Prosecutor Nyazamba unashamedly opposed the granting of bail arguing that all the 26 accused could not be granted bail at once.
However, Nyazamba told the High Court that the defense lawyers should instead submit to the court the names of the accused they wanted to be granted bail Justice Bhunu then instructed the defense lawyers to come up with a list of those who could be granted bail.
The Glenview 29 residents are facing charges of murdering Inspector Petros Mutedza on the 29th of May 2011 in Glenview, Harare. The trial continues on Monday, 19 November 2012 at 10:00hrs.
